Bassdroid Bio:

Standin’ behind the wheels of steel for more than a decade. Over the years has been playing many styles and genres of the quality underground dance music from hip-hop through Chicago-House, Detroit-Techno, Electro and Breakbeat with a bit of detour in the Drum’n’Bass world. From `98 till 2001 he was rocking the underground parties of Debrecen and the nearby East Hungarian region. In 2001 he joined the legendary former pirate radio station Tilos in Budapest where he blasted his weekly - mainly breakbeat, nu-skool and electro oriented - radio show called BazzBall. Between 2001-2004 he played in many clubs and open air gigs across Hungary and was mainly known in the underground scene as a breakbeat dj, however never tied down himself with a single genre. From 2004 he left the radio and continued as a freelancer cooperating with such renowned groups as Lollipop, Kollektiva, Deaf Company spending these years in the musical realm of electro-clash, electro-techno and was getting back more and more to the straighter 4×4 beat structures. 2005 brought his cooperation with Laureth and they formed the duo Gigolos Of Budapest and blasted “decks & effects” and “semi-live” gigs around Budapest and the country. Since 2007 Bassdroid is djing and producing again alone with more focus on oldskool- and deep-house, original Detroit-techno sound and the abstractions of electronic sounds that one may call IDM.

His sets are truly eclectic dance oriented and always try to keep the mind working as well not just the body. His sound adapts to the occasion but always operates with the power of surprise, no matter if it’s a floor rockin’ set or an easy listening selection you can never predict what will the next track be like.
